Regardless of where you are on your personal journey, Congregation B’nai Tzedek will enhance your life with opportunities to spend quality time with your family, easily make new friends, and enjoy the feeling of being part of your own unique Jewish community.  We’re Israel advocates on the local, national and international scenes and leaders in tikkun olam for the Greater Washington Jewish Community.  And we offer engaging and enlightening educational, spiritual and social programs for all ages and interests.

We recognize that needs change over time and therefore we continually challenge ourselves to innovate and meet our congregants where they are in life—whether that’s through a flexible fee structure that evolves with your life stage, programs that go beyond our own walls, or a capital campaign to insure that we’re constantly innovating and poised and ready to meet the needs of a changing world.

As part of my/our membership in Congregation B’nai Tzedek, by pressing the Submit button below, I/we agree to pay the dues and Building Fund obligation as stated on the Membership Rate Schedule for the current year.  If you are unfamiliar with our dues and fee structure, please click on the link to see our current dues and fees.  Dues and fees change each fiscal year on July 1, and are part of the annual budget approved by the Congregation at its Annual meeting each May.  

Please know that no person is denied membership because of finances.  If you do not believe you can afford the dues and fees, please contact the synagogue office at 301-299-0225. All personal financial information shall remain confidential.     

I/We understand this application for membership in Congregation B’nai Tzedek commits me/us to the dues and fees outlined above, and is an agreement to abide by its Constitution and By-Laws, which are available upon request. I/We further agree that part of my/our obligation to the synagogue includes ushering, approximately twice a year, and participating in the daily minyan (approximately one day a week for one month each year), as assigned by the synagogue office. If I/we am/are unable to fulfill my/our ushering or minyan responsibility on my assigned date(s), I/we assume full responsibility for securing a replacement.
