Elul 5782/2022 Videos

Elul is the month before Rosh Hashana. It is traditionally a time to begin thinking about the work we need to do on the High Holidays. I am referring to the themes of the holiday – teshuva – which means repentance, asking forgiveness of those we have wronged, healing rifts with loved ones, and thinking about what we need to do to improve ourselves and to make the world a better place. 

Our sages believed that one needs to adequately prepare for the holiday and not just expect the magic to happen. In this spirit, we will be/have been sending out short, 90 – 120 second videos with messages recorded by Rabbi Werbin, Cantor Kapell, Moshe Ben-Lev (our new Director of Education) and myself beginning this coming Monday. We hope you will take the minute or two to listen as we explore and have short teachings about various prayers and aspects of the holiday.
