Yom Kippur Schedule

Sunday, September 27
After Kol Nidrei Prayer (Z)
Teen Scene: Kol Nidrei for 8th - 12th graders
Yom Kippur is a time for introspection and striving to make better decisions in the coming year. There is political unrest in Israel (and here at home) with much we can learn. We will discuss how these lessons provide input for decisions teens confront today.

Monday, September 28

Club Tefilatenu for 4th - 7th graders

With the help of student leaders, we’ll gather again for tefilatenu, our prayers, and fun with friends on theme of forgiveness in the New Year.

10:15 - 10:45 am (Z)
Making Choices: Learning from Jonah’s Mistakes for K - 3rd graders

On Yom Kippur we read the Book of Jonah. Jonah makes so many mistakes and we have lots to learn from them. We will act out the story together and explore other choices Jonah could have made when facing hard decisions.

10:45 - 11:30 am (Z)
Teen Scene: Yom Kippur for 8th - 12th graders

Are there limits to forgiveness?  If we forgive, does it now mean everything is fixed?  We will tackle these difficult questions and more.

4:00 - 4:45 pm (Z)
Family Service and Sing-along for all ages

Join us for an intergenerational family service with prayers, songs, and stories on the themes of friendship, forgiveness, and hope.
