Dear Current and Future Madrichim,

Shalom! All of us at CBT are so excited that you are interested in participating in the Madrichim Program for the 2022-2023 school year. Thank you for sharing your time and talents, assisting our teachers, and being mentors and role models to our younger students! You are an invaluable part of our religious school community.

There are opportunities to work in the school for the 2022/23 School Year: 

• Sunday morning @ CBT with Grades K-7 (open to 8th-12th Graders) 
• Midweek Hebrew @ CBT on Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons with Grades 3-6 (open to 7th-12th Graders) [Limited opportunities]
• Office and administrative support during Religious School on Sunday morning, Monday afternoon,Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday afternoon (open to 9th-12th Graders with at least one year of experience) 
• Mini-Madrichim Program* (Sunday mornings from March 12-May 21, 2023) [An introduction to the experience of working within the Religious School, the program begins Sunday, Mar. 12, once 7th grade Sunday classes end, providing teens with rotational assignments in the classroom.] 

Please fill out the form below to express your interest in joining or returning to the Madrichim Program! The application is due Wednesday, August 24th by noon for teens interested in starting in fall 2022. For 7th graders joining our Mini-Madrichim Program beginning in March, please complete the application, too. 

This is a paid position for teens age 14 and up and a volunteer position for those who are not yet 14 years of age. Please note, all paid employees of Congregation B'nai Tzedek must be vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus. Copies of Covid vaccination cards are submitted to Beth Knobler, bknobler@cbtpotomac.org. 

You are invited to our Madrichim Meet Up with pizza dinner on Wed., August 31 (6:00-7:30 pm). It is mandatory for all Sunday and Midweek Madrichim. Information will be sent out in an email later this summer. It is optional for 7th graders interested in the Mini-Madrichim program beginning in March. We will send more information to all Madrichim who fill out the application. Please note that all Madrichim are required to complete a background check at the expense of CBT. If you cannot attend the Madrichim orientation, send an email to Beth Knobler at bknobler@cbtpotomac.org to schedule an alternate time.
