Our Classes

WE ARE PROUD TO OFFER THE FOLLOWING CLASSES FOR 2018-2019: 

Friday Free Baby Playgroup: Babies and their loving adult are invited to join our Shabbat Musical Celebration and stay to play in our specially designed infant/toddler playroom on Fridays from 9:45 am - 11:00 am.

Chavrei Doobim (Bear Friends): 15-24 months, 3 mornings: Tuesday, Wednesday, & Friday, 9:15 am - 12:30 pm

Taught by Julie Forrest

Julie grew up as a congregant of B'nai Tzedek. This will be her third year teaching in the Doobim class. She is looking forward to another fabulous year at the GECC!   

 

Chavrei Peelim (Elephant Friends): Two year olds, 3 or 5 mornings: Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9:15 am - 1:00 pm

Taught by Jane Greenblatt & Tali Kovich

This will be Jane's 10th year teaching two's at the GECC.  Jane has three sons ranging from age 17 to 23, all of whom attended preschool at B'nai Tzedek. 

Tali was born in Israel where she studied nursing and served in the Israeli military. This will be her 10th year working with the 2’s at the GECC.  Tali is the proud mother of 3 boys.

Chavrei Pandot (Panda Friends): Three year olds, 5 days: 9:15 am - 1:00 pm • Enrichments available Monday - Friday (1:00 pm - 2:30 pm)

Taught by Melissa Issacson & Bonnie Altneu

Melissa has been teaching preschool for over five years. New to the B’nai Tzedek community, she is looking forward to connecting with her students and their families. Melissa lives in Potomac with her husband and is raising five children in her blended family ranging in age from 8 to 16. 

This is Bonnie's third year working as a teacher in the Pandot class at the GECC.  She grew up in Rockville, Maryland and has two children, one in middle school and one in high school.

Chavrei Keshet (Rainbow Friends): Pre-K, 5 days: 9:15 am - 1:00 pm • Enrichments available Monday - Friday (1:00 pm - 2:30 pm)

Taught by Liz Sander & Yafa Edery

Liz has been teaching in Jewish preschools for 15 years.  During her free time you can find her in the gym, walking or playing with her dog or attending her son’s high school baseball games. 

This is Yafa’s 25th year as a teacher in the Pre-K class.  She also teaches kindergarten and 3rd grade in the B’nai Tzedek Hebrew School.  Yafa moved to the DC area over 30 years ago from Be’er Sheva.

Chavrei Parparim (Butterfly Friends) Extended Day: Monday - Friday 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm
