Family Services

Please check our calendar for Family Service dates.  All families are encouraged to stay after services for our congregational Kiddush.

Tot Shabbat @ 11 am Share a delightfully interactive Shabbat experience each month. Come sing, dance, and celebrate a musical Shabbat with early childhood specialist, Lisa Baydush. This service is designed for children up to Kindergarten and their family, and is held once a month on the first Saturday.

Hands on Shabbat @ 10:15 am (Kindergarten - Grade 4): Join your children for a hands-on Shabbat experience! We will start with a short service, followed by a different surprise experience to engage the whole family in fun, Shabbat-friendly activities, such as Lego building, puppet shows, storytelling, music, and more!

Learner's Minyan @ 10:15 am (Grades 5 & 6): The Learner's Minyan is designed to help the 5th and 6th graders to become more comfortable and familiar with the workings and order of the Torah service and is led by Liane Aaron. We will gather in the Gage Family Board Room between 10:00 am and 10:10 am. We will then enter the Berman Sanctuary as a group and stay for the duration of the Torah service. We will then adjourn to a Sudhalter Family Library, discuss the service and have a question and answer period. Refreshments will be provided at that time. The 5th & 6th graders can be picked up at 12:00 pm in the main Kiddush in the Burtoff Social Hall.

Lay-Led Family Minyan @ 10:30 am: This minyan gives a joyful and ruach-filled prayer experience with guitar, for families of all ages. All are invited to participate, lead prayers, give thoughts on the Torah portion, ask questions and contribute to the structure of this minyan. This will be a quick paced service that moves through Shaharit, an abridged Torah service and Musaf. For more information or to volunteer to participate contact Devorah Berman or 240-498-1166.
