Hear what families are saying about the GECC:

“From the first day that we walked into the preschool, the GECC has felt like a second home for my son. The teachers are all so loving and warm and qualified. Over the course of the last two years Noah has grown so much and built great relationships and we are so grateful for each day he is here.” Orly Henkin, child in the 2s class

“I am so pleased that my son feels so comfortable at school and that is a direct result of hard work from the teachers to create a warm, loving, safe and interesting environment for our children.” Alison Perlis, child in the 2s class

“Over the past three years, our children have formed great friendships at the GECC. But equally important, we have too. We’ve met parents who have become great friends – people who we can share simchas with and who are there to share sorrows. It’s an incredible community and one we hope you will join!” A GECC parent, child in the pre-K class

GECC Logo About Us:

The Laura & Joel Greenzaid Early Childhood Center (GECC) is a warm, welcoming, and innovative preschool. We are play-based, utilizing an integrated emergent curriculum. Our Early Childhood Center has an outstanding staff, who provide the highest quality in early childhood education.  We offer programming for children from six months to five years of age. We provide parent education and Jewish family education workshops. All of this is accomplished through comprehensive secular and Judaic curricula.

Educational Philosophy

The Laura and Joel Greenzaid Early Childhood Center features programs that nurture the physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual development of our children. Our educational approach, which integrates Judaic and secular curriculum, is based on the very best of developmentally appropriate practices. At GECC we are committed to excellence in Jewish Early Education!

Our Goals

  • Encourage independent and confident learners
  • Build critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Foster strong and vibrant Jewish identity, a connection to the Jewish people and love to the State of Israel
  • Promote an enthusiasm for learning by nurturing creativity and inquisitive thinking

We are thrilled to announce that the Community Builders program will be available to the entire school starting in the FALL 2017!  The Community Builders is a unique, award-winning program where parents have the opportunities to collaborate, participate and lead in both our school and synagogue as we grow together to create the finest educational experiences for our children.  Parents are invited to engage in synagogue life in exchange for a 50% reduction in core day tuition.

We are excited to bring this program to the entire community, as it truly reflects who we are as a synagogue and a preschool.  We are committed to not only making Jewish education for our future generation affordable, but engaging our young families in our entire community.

Each family will receive 50% off core-day tuition per child for two years, and then a $1,000 stipend per family for the remainder of your time in the school.  The 10-hour requirement will stay in place for the first two years, and be reduced in the following years with the expectation that families continue to play a leadership role in Community Builders, the school and/or the congregation as a whole.
