Midweek Hebrew Instruction
If the Enrolling Student will be in Grades 3 through 6, please indicate your choice for mid-week Hebrew:
- Tues. or Wed. Small Group Hebrew
- Private Tutoring: indicates your preference for one-on-one private tutoring on Monday or Thursday - Undecided between Small Groups and Tutoring (please call me to discuss my options) The RS Office will follow up with you regarding the preference in day and timeslot in August. If this student is enrolling in grade K-2 or 7-10, please select N/A (This student is not in Gr. 3-6) option.
We will do our best to honor one (1) mutual placement request for Sunday classes. This placement request must be mutual. This is the place in the online registration for you to make this one mutual friend request with this student.

Directory Information
In order to build community among our Religious School families, we will be creating a school directory and class lists for this coming school year. We hope this will help facilitate car pools, play dates, and grade-wide opportunities for our families to be together. Please choose one of the following two options:

We capture the joy and document the learning each year in pictures. Photos are taken to be displayed in our Bernice & Mannie Rabovsky Religious School and B’nai Tzedek newsletters, on our website, social media, and in local newspapers, on our B'nai Tzedek Potomac Facebook and Instagram pages in order to create an online, supportive and engaging community. We do not include names with photos.

Grandparents!
We would love to send updates to grandparents interested in your child's experiences in our Religious School. Please list below first and last name and provide their email address if you think they may want an update.
Tuition is billed in full on July 1, 2020 and is payable in 10 equal monthly installments, in accordance with the synagogue payment plan policy. For student withdrawals made before December 5th, a 40% reduction in tuition will be given. After this date, payment is due in full and no refunds will be given under any circumstances.
The Board of Directors has decided that given the current circumstances, tuition for the religious school for the 2020-2021 school year will be maintained at the 2019-2020 rates. If you are interested in the Bernice & Mannie Rabovsky Religious School and you are not yet a member, please contact Ronni Ticker at rticker@bnaitzedek.org.
Private Tutoring (PT) is available for 3rd - 6th Grade Hebrew. The cost is $1,875 for 25 sessions or $75 per/hour.
Additional sessions will be billed on a per session basis. Please contact the Religious School Office to arrange the schedule.
We charge a Materials & Activities Fee of $115/student for those who register by the early bird deadline (June 30) and $130/student for those who register after June 30, 2020. This fee will cover textbooks, program costs, and materials for every child.

All children enrolled in the Bernice & Mannie Rabovsky Religious School at Congregation B’nai Tzedek must be Jewish in accordance with Halacha and as defined by the Conservative movement. While the Religious School will accept children who are not Jewish by birth for an initial one-year period, we do require the child to undergo a ritual conversion in order to remain in the school beyond the first year.
CLASS ASSIGNMENTS: Students are assigned to classes on a first-come, first-served basis. Members must be current in their accounts in order to register for the 2020-2021 school year.
PLACEMENT REQUESTS: We will make every effort, but cannot guarantee that more than one (1) mutual placement request will be honored for Sunday classes.
Note: Hebrew class placement is based upon religious school evaluation.
PLEASE NOTE PLACEMENT REQUESTS ARE NOT NECESSARY FOR GRADES 7-10.
I/We understand that submission of this application is an agreement to abide by the policies and procedures of The Bernice & Mannie Rabovsky Religious School of Congregation B’nai Tzedek. I/We agree to pay the tuition in accordance with the terms outlined above, and understand that failure to honor this obligation by the dates noted may result in my/our child (ren) not being permitted to continue their enrollment in the religious school. Acceptance and continued participation in the Bar/Bat Mitzvah program is contingent upon the fulfillment of educational and behavioral requirements. I/We further understand that any placement request submitted for my/our child is not guaranteed.
I further agree to allow any and all emergency care of my child(ren) to give permission for any of our staff (The Bernice & Mannie Rabovsky Religious School of Congregation B'nai Tzedek) to call your child's doctor and/or take your child to the nearest hospital to receive appropriate emergency treatment after all reasonable attempts to contact you have been unsuccessful.
