The Land of Honey - The Joy of the New Year
2 - 4 year olds
9:30 am - Tot Program with the Little Jon Jensen Magic Show to Bring in the New Year (Parents must accompany their children) *For families not attending, classrooms for students 2 - 4 years will be open for drop-off at 9:30 am.
10:30 am - Classroom activities with holiday games, crafts, discussions, snack & play time.
K - 3rd Grade
9:30 am - Intergenerational Family Rosh Hashana Service with parents, grandparents, siblings and other family members. We'll use musical instruments, storytelling and shofar blowing to welcome the New Year.
10:30 am - Classroom activities - In the spirit of the holiday when we eat apples and honey, a beekeeper will teach about bees and making honey, and their connection to the holiday. We'll also perform Tashlich as a class.
4th - 6th Grade
9:30 am - Classroom activities - A beekeeper will teach about bees and making honey and their connection to the New Year.
10:30 am - Club 456 led by Liane Aaron and Josh Berenzweig including shofar blowing and Bibliodrama. We'll perform Tashlich as a class.
7th - 12th Grade
9:30 am - Students are invited to join the service in the sanctuary
10:30 am - Teen Scene - We'll learn Torah through Bibliodrama, perform activities on our theme of Joy, blow the shofar, a beekeeper will teach about bees and honey making and their connection to the New Year and celebrate the New Year with birthday cake in the Youth Lounge.
