Why B'nai Tzedek
Here are comments from congregants about what they love about B'nai Tzedek!
I love being part of a warm and carring community
Congregation B'nai Tzedek cares for its members, whether in times if joy, sadness or need, members are there for each other offering support and a helping hand.
I love being part of a family-oriented community.
B'nai Tzedek is one of the pioneers in the field of family life education, and has a full array of children's services and programs on Shabbat. We also have one of the most extensive High Hoiday children's programs in the area, and award-winning, active youth groups, Congregation B'nai Tzedek is a place where families and children of all ages are welcome.
I love the services.
CBT has just the right mix of the traditional liturgy and familiar melodies, joined by a warm atmosphere and openness to spirituality. The entire Shabbat worship experience is uplifting, and evokes a feeling of warmth and community. The Rabbi's messages, often conveyed with humor, are always educational, inspiring and relevant.
I love the adult education programs.
A significant number of our members participate in our adult education classes. Courses offered cover a wide variety of topics. Always stimulating and provocative, they offer insights into the beauty and richness of our Jewish heritage.
I love the facility and tranquil setting.
B'nai Tzedek is a simple, yet elegant building. Within a few mile radius of Rockville, Bethesda, North Potomac and Potomac, the location is convenient to much of the Jewish community. Its natural setting enhances the appreciation of the grandeur of God's creation.
I love the religious school.
Children are taught in a nurturing atmosphere, consistent with the personal approach and philosophy of the congregation.
I love the High Holidays.
The beauty of the services and building, the children's programming, the music, the sermons, the liturgy. all combine to make this time of year especially meaningful.
I love the Rabbi.
Rabbi Weinblatt is a true visionary. He is a warm, caring and approachable individual. He always strives to be available to congregants whenever they need him. Nationally recognized as a dynamic educator and inspiring speaker, the rabbi is as comfortable sitting on the floor with the nursery school children as he is teaching Talmud or theology.
